About Steven Cooley

Deputy Steven Cooley was nominated by Sharon Boston of Teacher's Pension.

Deputy Cooley equips young people with decision-making skills that empower them to make positive life choices. In 2012, he co-founded STRAP (Seeking the Right Amendable Path) Inc., an intervention/mentorship program dedicated to supporting at-risk teens in graduating from high school and developing crucial life skills. Ultimately, he encourages the transformation of children into productive members of society.

Deputy Cooley has won many awards, including the Rotary Club's 2023 Deputy Sheriff of the Year, George W. Bush's prestigious "Daily Point of Light Award," and the Gwinnett Bar Association's "Liberty Bell."
